In a bid to address the Biafra agitation and restore peace in the Southeast region of Nigeria, Governor Hope Uzodimma has taken a bold step.

He calls for the extradition of Simon Ekpa, a prominent Biafra agitator who has been operating from Finland, directing the activities of IPOB terrorists and enforcing a two-week sit-at-home order.

Governor Uzodimma acknowledges the significance of this matter and emphasizes the need to deal with it effectively.

Collaboration with Security AgenciesTo achieve the extradition of Simon Ekpa and address the Biafra agitation, Governor Uzodimma stresses the importance of collaboration with security agencies.

He particularly emphasizes the role of the military and the Federal Government in this endeavor.

During the familiarisation visit from the new General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigeria Army, Major General H. T. Dada, Governor Uzodimma expressed his appreciation for the military’s efforts to restore law and order in the region and across the nation.

Governor Uzodimma highlights the need for the people to enjoy their rights and privileges without fear or harassment from non-state actors.

Restoring peace and security in the region is a crucial goal.
