In a deliberate effort to fuse spiritual renewal with humanitarian service, the City of Truth and Grace Assembly has unveiled plans for its Easter programme, urging Nigerians to see the season as a moment for healing, compassion, and collective rebirth.
Anchored on the theme “The Power of Resurrection,” the church said this year’s observance will extend beyond conventional worship, focusing on restoring hope among individuals, families, and communities grappling with persistent social and economic pressures.
The programme, to be led by Pastor Dipo Fisho, will emphasise faith as a source of resilience. Organisers say participants will be encouraged to draw strength from the message of Christ’s resurrection as a guiding light for overcoming life’s challenges.
Activities begin on Good Friday with a family-oriented prayer session aimed at addressing both personal and national concerns. The gathering is expected to promote unity, empathy, and shared responsibility, serving as a platform for collective reflection and healing.
As part of its outreach efforts, the church will also host an Easter love feast, designed to promote inclusion and extend care to the less privileged, while reinforcing values of generosity, fellowship, and social responsibility.
Organisers noted that the event is structured to inspire attendees to embrace a renewed sense of purpose and carry the message of hope into their daily lives and communities.
The programme will take place at The Grounds Sport Arena, Jabi, with activities scheduled for Good Friday evening and Easter Sunday morning.
The church has extended an open invitation to the public, describing the event as an inclusive platform for people of all backgrounds to experience spiritual renewal and reconnect with the transformative power of faith.
