According to reports by Dubai-based media, the decision aligns with the UAE’s long-term strategic and economic vision to reshape its energy profile, including accelerated investment in domestic production.

The move follows a comprehensive review of the nation’s production policy, as well as its current and future capacity. “This is based on the UAE’s national interest and its commitment to contributing effectively to meeting the market’s pressing needs,” the report added.

The Emirates has stated it will continue to act as a responsible and reliable energy supplier, bringing additional production to market in a gradual and measured manner, in line with demand and market conditions.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to investing across the entire energy value chain – including oil and gas, renewables, and low-carbon solutions – and to working alongside international partners to ensure stable global supply.
