The Taraba State Commissioner for Women and Child Development, Hon. Mary Sinjen, has strongly condemned the abusive treatment of a young boy, Musa Alhassan, by his teacher, Ahmadu Hassan, in the Jalingo’s Saurara area.
She labeled the incident a severe violation of human rights.
Musa is currently receiving medical care in Jalingo, with the government prioritizing his recovery.
A statement from the Ministry confirmed that the state is closely monitoring his progress.
Ahmadu Hassan has been arrested and is now in the custody of law enforcement. The government assured the public that justice would be served, emphasizing zero tolerance for impunity.
Under Governor Agbu Kefas’s leadership, the government remains dedicated to protecting children’s rights and safety in Taraba State. Hon.
