Ms Ramnap said the move came after gunmen attacked the Angwan Rukuba community on Sunday night.

The attack, she said, claimed several lives and left many others wounded.

‎”The Plateau government, in conjunction with the security agencies have imposed a 48-hour curfew within Jos-North LGA.

”The curfew will run from midnight on Sunday, March 29, to Wednesday, April 1,” she said.

The commissioner, who condemned the unprovoked attack on innocent citizens, called on residents of the area to be calm and law-abiding.

She assured the people that the government and security agencies have adopted measures to forestall future occurrences and arrest perpetrators.
