During his eight-year tenure at the NPC, he facilitated employment for thousands of Kogites and Nigerians, drove capacity-building initiatives, and installed solar street lighting in institutions including Kogi State University, Federal Polytechnic Idah, and the College of Education, Ankpa. He also donated computers to secondary schools across the state and provided hospital equipment that upgraded the Kogi State University clinic.

Dr Akor further extended solar lighting to communities in Ankpa, its environs, and Anyigba in Dekina LGA.

A member of the Industrial Arbitration Panel (IAP) in Abuja, he has arbitrated numerous cases across the public and private sectors. He holds the traditional titles of Omachi Atta Igala, Otunba Gbeluniyi of Ilaro, and a chieftaincy title in Olamaboro LGA.
