Liverpool’s former manager Jürgen Klopp has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic passing of footballer Diogo and his brother André, in an emotional letter shared with fans and the football community.

Klopp, known for his passion and close relationships with players, described the moment as one of profound struggle, confessing: “There must be a bigger purpose! But I can’t see it!”

The German manager recalled Diogo not only as a talented footballer, but also as “a great friend, a loving and caring husband and father.”

His heartfelt message conveyed the pain felt across the sporting world, stating, “We will miss you so much!”

Klopp offered his thoughts and strength to Diogo’s widow Rute, their children, and all family members affected by the loss.

“All my prayers, thoughts and power to Rute, the kids, the family, the friends and everyone who loved them,” he said.

The football community has been left stunned by the sudden loss, with tributes pouring in from clubs, fans and players across the globe.

Klopp’s final farewell echoed the sentiments of many: “Rest in peace, Diogo… sending love.”

The cause of death has not been officially disclosed at this time.
