The minister stated that the purpose of his visit was to receive updates on military operations. He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu has been closely monitoring the troops’ activities in recent months and has noted improvements in counter-terrorism efforts, despite ongoing challenges.

“You must do more to combat insecurity in your areas of operation and throughout the country,” Badaru urged.

He assured the troops that the president is committed to providing all necessary resources to address insecurity in the Northwest and across Nigeria.

“I received positive reassurances from the commander and am confident we will achieve our objectives. Are you ready to see this through? Are you prepared to put an end to it? Please apprehend Turji,” he concluded.

The address was attended by the commander of Operation Fansar Yamma, Mani Mumuni, the deputy governor of Zamfara State, and other dignitaries.
