Senator Katung Enhances Healthcare In Southern Kaduna With Donation

In a significant move to bolster healthcare services in his constituency, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, who represents the Kaduna South Senatorial District, has donated medical supplies valued in the millions to Primary Health Centres in the Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The donated items, which include a wide array of medications and medical equipment, are set to be distributed across selected Primary Health Care Centres within the local government.

Senator Katung reaffirmed his commitment to improving healthcare access for residents and ensuring that they benefit from the dividends of democracy.

Represented by former Health Commissioner Dr Thot Joseph, he emphasized a dedication to positively impacting the lives of those at the grassroots level.

Highlighting his focus on alleviating the challenges faced by the community, Senator Katung expressed his determination to enhance the well-being of his constituents. He urged the Primary Healthcare Centres to utilize the donated drugs wisely for the greater good.

Receiving the supplies on behalf of the PHCs, Nurse Rehab Ibrahim, the deputy director of health in Jaba Local Government, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Senator Katung. She assured that the donated medical equipment and supplies would be used responsibly.

Ibrahim commended the senator for his vision and substantial investment in the health sector, and she called upon other wealthy individuals in the state to follow his commendable example in supporting healthcare improvements in Kaduna State.

The distribution of the medical supplies was coordinated by the National Productivity Center and the Building Capacities Development Hub (BCDH), with facilitation by Senator Sunday Marshall Katung.
