President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken decisive action by suspending all operations overseen by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
This move comes in light of the ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct in the agency’s management and its various programs.
In response to concerns over operational lapses and irregularities in beneficiary payments, President Tinubu has suspended all four NSIPA-administered programs – N-Power Programme, Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, and Home Grown School Feeding Programme – for an initial period of six weeks.
A ministerial panel has been formed to conduct a comprehensive review of the agency’s operations, aiming to recommend essential reforms.
During this suspension, all NSIPA-related activities, including distributions, events, payments, collaborations, and registrations, are temporarily halted.
President Tinubu assures stakeholders and the Nigerian public of his commitment to a swift and impartial process.
The goal is to ensure that social intervention programs function as intended, benefiting the most vulnerable Nigerians in the future.
