LAGOS – The Accord Party has announced its nomination fees for elective positions ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the party’s electoral window set to close on 25 April.
The Lagos State Chairman, Dele Oladeji, disclosed this in a statement issued following the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday. He described the NEC meeting as the final session to determine key pre-election activities, including nomination fees, primary election dates, and the mode of primaries.
According to the approved fee structure, governorship aspirants will pay N10 million as a nomination fee and N5 million for expression of interest. Senatorial aspirants are required to pay N5 million for nomination and N2.5 million for expression of interest.
For the House of Representatives, the nomination fee stands at N3.5 million, with an expression of interest fee of N1.5 million. State House of Assembly aspirants will pay N1 million for nomination and N500,000 for expression of interest.
Mr Oladeji warned that the electoral window would close on 25 April, adding that membership registration and the purchase of nomination forms would both end on 26 April.
He called on Lagos residents seeking a change in governance to align with the party. “Accord is the party to vote for. If you desire a change in governance, you need to change the party that will govern Lagos State starting in 2027,” he said, describing the party’s appeal as a clarion call for patriotic change agents to join, contest, and win.
The chairman also pledged reforms in key state agencies and policies, stating that Accord would elect patriotic leaders capable of bringing a human face to governance. He added that the party’s primary elections would commence on 21 May.
