A shocking confession has rattled the heart of Zamfara State’s capital, Gusau, as a staff member of Yan Doto Food Palace admitted to being part of a kidnapping syndicate.

According to the statement by Zamfara Youth forum on Monday said the restaurant, located directly opposite the Government House, has now come under public scrutiny after a viral video surfaced showing the young staffer detailing his role in the abduction of residents from the Mareri area.

The converter of the forum,Alhaji Ibrahim Abba said his confession has sparked widespread outrage, with civil society groups and citizens calling for an immediate investigation into the restaurant and its management.

According to him,” The confession raises deeper concerns about the restaurant’s role and its proximity to the state’s highest seat of power.

” Many are questioning how such criminal activity could go undetected just steps away from where top government decisions are made.

“The owner of Yan Doto must be investigated. Either he knew and did nothing, or he failed to do due diligence. Both are dangerous,” said Abba.

He argue that this case should not be treated as an isolated incident. They are urging the Nigerian Police Force and Department of State Services (DSS) to probe the restaurant’s possible links to wider criminal networks operating in the state.,

He said the revelation that a food outlet near the Government House could serve as a cover for such operations has been described as “deeply embarrassing”.
