YSFON Queen emerged first at the just concluded Halimatu Ayinde 2025 7 aside Women’s Football competition , after a penalty shootout to win cash prize of two hundred thousand naira (200 ,000), with other prizes each.

Gallant Queens came second with one hundred and fifty thousand naira (150,000), while the Kudenda Queens came 3 Rd with the cash prize of (100,000), one hundred thousand naira.

These year’s even was organized at the Yelwa Mini Township Stadium in Sabo , was taggged’ She Wins’ brought together young start’s from the neighbouring communities with a aim of get them and putting smile on them.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports and Development, Mrs Do as Tanko shortly after the competition in an interview commended the convener/ Founders for putting this at this time of 16 activism , emphasized on this year’s theme, “Pad Up A Girl”

“This year competition theme means alot to me , we as stakeholders we should work together in supporting the young start’s. This will help them to focused and show every seriousness in whatever efforts individual and government assist them with.

“As we continue to creating awareness on Girl child, and fighting against any forms of violence, we should also engaged them on activities that will bring out the talent in them, that is what Halimatu Ayinde’s have just did.

“I must commend Halimatu Ayinde’s initiatives it is a welcome development, there are lots of talent, out there, it’s an opportunity for the world to get well talented one,” she commended.

She promised are so proud to be part of this program and assured that the ministry will support in the next event

Adding that; this initiatives is given black to the society that have made , and a good one giving them visibilities, for a girl child to express her self , boy given more opportunities but with this development a lot of talent will be recovered.

The ministry will by next year key into this Noble initiatives and will give all it’s support

Who came first was last year’s runner up ,while who game first was last year’s winner

Over 200pieces of Pad were distributes to participating teams and girls and women in Yelwa community who were present to cheer the team up.

The project director and former Kada stars player, Grace John , call on young girls , to make use of there talent by coming out to showcase it.

” I’m using this medium to call on ladies and girls who are out there doing nothing to come out start from somewhere, in football there are lots to go with, let come together and bring out what we have , without coming no one will know who you really are”, she appealed.
