The Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA) has voiced profound sorrow and condemnation over the abduction of 177 individuals in Kajuru Local Government Area, calling for a two-day fasting and prayers.
Chairman, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure described the alarming incident as unprecedented, marking the first time members from three Christian denominations were kidnapped simultaneously during church services.
The SKCLA highlighted the Kajuru incident as part of a troubling trend of unresolved kidnappings plaguing Southern Kaduna, particularly affecting families in Kauru, Kachia, and other vulnerable communities.
The Association has initiated a two-day fasting and prayer programme, rooted in Psalm 57:2–3, commencing this Friday.
The event aims to beseech divine intervention for the safe return of the abducted individuals and will culminate in a special prayer session across all churches on Sunday.
Apostle Kure emphasised the need for unity among believers and appealed to all Christians in Southern Kaduna and beyond to join in this spiritual effort, urging the Nigerian public to support affected families.
“We will not remain silent in the face of evil, nor will we lose hope,” he asserted, calling for accountability from security agencies.
