Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian international footballer, has reached an agreement to join Al-Hilal, leaving Premier League teams Chelsea and Manchester United empty-handed in their pursuit of the striker.
Osimhen, who spent the previous season on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, narrowly missed a transfer to Chelsea during the last moments of the transfer window. The 26-year-old has made a significant impact in Turkey, where he enjoyed a fruitful season.
As reported by the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh, Osimhen has committed to a three-year contract with Al-Hilal, which is keen to include him in their squad ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup next month.
In addition, Al-Hilal is reportedly prepared to activate the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract with Napoli, following discussions regarding his potential move.
During his time at Galatasaray, Osimhen netted 36 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions, playing a pivotal role in securing the Turkish league and cup double for the club this season.
