In a troubling event, two siblings, Master Prince Ugwuegbulem and Miss Chizitere Ugwuegbulem, have been allegedly kidnapped by suspected herdsmen in Umuoka, part of the Amakaohia-Ubi Autonomous Community within the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening around 8:30 pm, merely 200 metres from their residence.

Mr. Marvelous Ngoha, a community member and CEO of Amakohia Ubi Vanguard, verified the occurrence, saying, “The siblings, offspring of engineer Emeka Ugwuegbulem, were seized while making their way home.”

Initial ransom demands from the abductors were set at ₦100 million, but they later lowered the amount to ₦9 million, as reported by insiders.

Residents, now gripped by anxiety, have urgently requested government assistance. The family has lodged a formal report with the police, and community members are calling for immediate measures to ensure the children’s safe return.
