Discussions between the Federal Government and Organised Labour on the new minimum wage are expected to wrap up today.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) leaders are anxiously awaiting President Bola Tinubu’s response to their proposal of N250,000.

A Monday deadline was set by the labour leaders for finalizing the wage discussions.

To attend a labour conference hosted by the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, NLC President Joe Ajaero and other senior union representatives traveled abroad.

Upon their return from Geneva, the labour leaders will convene their National Executive Council meeting to decide on a strike, considering the president’s input.
