ABUJA – The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to Southern Nigeria for a single four-year term.
The motion was moved during the party’s maiden National Convention by Afam Victor Ogene, a member of the 10th National Assembly representing Ogbaru Constituency in Anambra State. Delegates unanimously adopted the proposal.
It was further resolved that after the expiration of the single term, the presidential ticket would automatically return to the North.
This decision clears the path for former Anambra State Governor, Mr Peter Obi, and other southern aspirants to obtain the party’s presidential nomination forms.
