Brigadier General Simon Katunku Gora (Rtd) today congratulated His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, on receiving a distinguished national honour, Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The national award, was among Nigeria highest honours, recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service and commitment to the nation.
In his message, Gen. Gora expressed that Governor Sani political journey has been marked by selfless service, courage, and a relentless commitment to fairness and justice. Which continues to resonate with citizens throughout the state. He emphasized that the award is a fitting tribute to Governor Uba Sani unwavering dedication to the principles of democracy. He commends the Governor genuine dedication to democracy and inclusive governance in Kaduna State.
The former military officer noted that Governor Sani enduring efforts in resisting undemocratic practices in the State and pushing for progressive change have finally gained him a well deserved national recognition today on Democracy Day Celebration by president Tinubu.
“Your sacrifices and determination during our country’s democratic struggles have not gone unnoticed. Your commitment has paid off, and this honour is a testimony to your courage and integrity,” said Gen. Gora.
Gen. Gora also lauded the leadership style of Governor Uba Sani which consistently demonstrated since assuming office. He highlighted the Governor inclusive policies and equitable governance, which have helped to bridge ethnic and religious divides while fostering development and unity in Kaduna State.
Gen. Gora further applauded Governor Sani ability to navigate the complexities of leadership in the State. He also praised governor Sani administrative efforts on infrastructural development, education, security, and social welfare, which he described as strong sense of justice and equity.
“Governor Uba Sani story should inspire the younger generation of Nigerian leaders to pursue leadership not for personal gain but for the collective progress of their people,” said Gen. Gora. “His ability to lead with fairness and his refusal to compromise democratic values make him a true statesman.”
