Umar said that it was a great achievement to have recorded such a success within a short period of time after the directives of President Bola Tinubu for all the security heads to relocate to the area.

According to him, the visit was aimed to support the minister, encourage and commend him for relocating to Sokoto for the task of ensuring security of the region.

“As religious leaders, and also representatives of our people, we have to express our appreciation because of the success in eliminating the bandits’ leader and many of his followers.

“The administration of President Tinubu also deserves such commendation for its immediate action towards protecting the lives and property of the people.

“With the recent security measures, a lot of successes have been recorded, and also the security situation has improved compared to before.

“We pray and hope that such measures can be sustained so that other bandits’ leaders, especially Bello Turji and others can be eliminated soon.

“We are confident in the actions of the minister and other security agencies in this crucial situation. And we have the belief that they will succeed in ending the insecurity,” Umar said.
