The Imam of the National Mosque of Nigeria, Abuja, Dr Abdulkadir Jumuah Salman Solagberu, has praised the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), Prof Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, for elevating the board’s standards of probity and service delivery.
In a statement, Solagberu described Oloyede’s tenure as “the golden age in the annals” of the examinations body. He said the JAMB chief had transformed the board into Nigeria’s most credible and admired examination authority, now serving as a model for other public institutions.
Solagberu, who is also the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin and proprietor of the proposed Darul Kitab University in Ilorin, noted that the former University of Ilorin vice-chancellor had remained a worthy ambassador of the Nigerian Muslim community.
“The renowned academic has not disappointed his primary constituency nor the nation, whether as an academic or an administrator,” he said.
The Imam urged Oloyede—who also serves as Secretary-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and Kuliyan Sokoto—to sustain his efforts, adding that his place in the history of Nigeria’s public service is already secure.
Solagberu further called on Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to emulate Oloyede’s patriotism and creativity to help the nation realise its full potential. He prayed for the JAMB registrar’s long life, sound health, and happiness to continue serving Allah and humanity.
