Having given enough attention to staff welfare, he embarked on the creation of befitting accommodation for the two offices both at the headquarters in Lagos and Abuja offices, that was before now, a mere nomenclature and ghost location.

Without delay , he rolled out a comprehensive machinery through a committee to work out modalities that will not only streamline the activities of the council, but create an enabling environment that will bring to par modest and modern ways of operation inline with the best practices, and what is obtainable in Nigeria’s public service, particularly workers welfare, training and retraining as well as continuous capacity acquisition.

With a combined wealth of experience both from the public and private sector, and also as a trainer in that regard, the idea of developing the capacity in the public service cannot be overemphasized.

With staff moral both at the management, intermediate and lower cadre at a low ebb due to non prioritisation to building capacity and welfare , the ugly situation trickled down before he assumed duty .

Without hesitation, he rolled out a template that had ensured workers of the council, embarked on quarterly training and retraining and also promoted those due for promotion overtime .

Having created an enabling environment through recurring capacity building, welfare , the staffers became prepared and encouraged into carrying out official engagements and assignments with high zeal and encouragement.

This led to maximum productivity, innovations, initiatives and proliferation of ideas that will galvanize the activities of the council in line with the vision and mission of the new management under Dr Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo, the man at the helm of affairs.

Olowo institutionalized within the space of two years, staff development and modest welfare which is the bane of any modest organization like the Financial Reporting Council FRC along with many other incentives.

He rolled out a reward system that created a healthy competition between staffers in the area of performance and encouraged staff reward system through annual price award.

One of the staff development programs that took place in Lagos late last year, 2024 where staffers were trained to improve capacity, professional experience, capabilities and performance.

According to the organisers and the testament at the occasion….

“I am thrilled to share the success of our recent training and capacity-building program for the dedicated staff members of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. At ADRAC Professional Services Consulting, we are committed to enhancing professional capabilities, and this training session was a testament to our mission.”

“The ADRAC training powered by the ES CEO Financial Reporting Council FRC, Dr. Olowo Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo to promote public service and to deliver on their mandate among many others.”

“Your vision for continuous learning and professional development is truly inspiring, and it was an honour to collaborate with such a forward-thinking organization.”

“Together, we are shaping the future of Financial Reporting in Nigeria, one step at a time. We look forward to more opportunities to support and contribute to your journey of excellence.”

In line with his new vision and mission, Olowo has instituted a new template that is now the hub of the new wave in the public service, and by extension stabilized approach to both civil and quasi civil service activities.
