Having prioritised the welfare of workers , the urgent need of carrying the wholistic transformation agenda of her administration in line with the demands of the present administration is unwavering in the last two years.

With constant training and retraining of staffers of the Authority that was lacking hitherto, Kuku went ahead to implement the fiscal policy program that will inject not only transparency and accountability in the agency , but modest one that will see the light of the day and global requirements.

For many decades , the operational workings of the FAAN classified as analogue was gradually automated, hence reducing human interference in line with the global order and needed reforms been carried out.

To further avoid continuous revenue loss , leakages and marred with fraudulent activities for many decades, Kuku recently introduced the “Go Cashless” policy in the activities of FAAN expected to spread across departments and units of the Authority.

While nipping in the bud the many decades of corrupt tendencies and archaic way of operation in FAAN, the introduction of “Go Cashless ” was capable of reducing to the barest minimum fraud laced actions and activities of staffers who had devised many way of enrichment, shortchange against FAAN.

Kuku as part of her reform decided to introduce “Go Cashless ” that will enable visitors and travellers to the nation’s airports obtain a scratch card loaded with cash that will be debited at the point of entrance to any of Nigeria’s airports, without human interference or any form of misdemeanor.

The “Go Cashless” policy introduced by the Kuku led FAAN will inject sanity , accountability, modesty and modern approach into its activities at the airports , at the same time generate more revenues to the government.

Coming at a time when government is determined to change the tide of underdevelopment in all sectors and funds to execute projects in the aviation sector, among other capital projects, the introduction of “Go Cashless” policy cannot be overemphasized.

The desire to sanitize the services of FAAN from the coffers of corrupt elements who had turned themselves to cabal in it’s activities is now over , considering that staffers compete on daily postings to cash collection points to enable them access funds meant for government into private pockets.

With Kuku’s intervention and Initiatives , no doubt the revenue profile of FAAN will triple the current cabal based on the reforms introduced.

Gone where the days when government/public funds finds it’s way into private pockets , inspite of the commitment of paying workers salaries and allowances promptly.

The introduction that had the blessing of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, though reverted to hybrid for obvious reasons, will be a sign of relief to the agency going forward.

Kuku’s administrative and technocratic exposure had turned the fortunes of FAAN into realization of billions of naira revenue generation going forward.

All hands must be on deck to support the reform ideas introduced by the current leadership under Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku to take the aviation industry to greater heights.
