In a significant milestone for Jaba Local Government, Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, the newly elected Chairperson, joined the groundbreaking ceremony of a vital 7KM road project in Hamland.

The event was facilitated by Rt. Hon. Amos Gwamna Magaji, who represents the Jaba/Zongo constituency in Nigeria’s National Assembly.

The ceremony brought together influential figures and community members, marking Hon. Ishaku’s first official appearance since her election.

Attending the groundbreaking event, Hon. Larai Ishaku expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Magaji, recognising his dedicated efforts to serve the community and elevate Hamland’s infrastructure.

She commended Magaji for going beyond his legislative duties to secure this important project, highlighting his unique role in championing local development. According to her, Magaji’s initiatives demonstrate his love and commitment to the people of Hamland.

“I am deeply grateful for Rt. Hon. Magaji’s contributions,” said Larai. “His work stands as an example of genuine leadership, showcasing his determination to improve our community’s infrastructure and bring lasting benefits to our people.”

During the event, Rt. Hon. Amos Gwamna Magaji, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Health, expressed his appreciation to Hon. Larai for attending the ceremony. Magaji emphasised that the road project symbolises a new beginning for Jaba, aiming to bring transformative improvements to the area.

He encouraged leaders across different political affiliations to collaborate, noting that unity is essential for sustainable development.

“This project is more than just a road; it’s a pathway to economic empowerment,” Magaji said. “Working together, we can build the future our community deserves.”

The new 7KM road is set to include comprehensive infrastructure enhancements, such as drainage systems and culverts, ensuring resilience and sustainability.
