Since his appointment as the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida has demonstrated visionary leadership and a firm commitment to deepening the impact of digital infrastructure across Nigeria. In less than a year in office, Dr. Maida’s reforms are already reshaping the regulatory landscape of Nigeria’s telecoms sector and positioning the NCC as a more proactive and transparent institution.
One of the key highlights of his tenure has been his commitment to improving broadband penetration and digital inclusion, especially in underserved and rural communities. Under his leadership, the Commission has intensified efforts to implement the National Broadband Plan, working in partnership with stakeholders to bridge the digital divide and empower more Nigerians with access to digital opportunities.
