One of the media aides to the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Mal. Abdulmalik Suleiman has debunked the rumours making the rounds suggesting that his principal is being grilled by anti-graft agencies.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday while reacting to news not mainstream media but mushroom online platforms that the former Kano State Governor was a guest of the Economic, Financial and other Crimes Commission (EFCC), Suleiman describe it as ‘untrue and a lie from the pit of hell and should immediately be discarded.
Rather, Kwankwaso” his aide described the news as machinations from political opponents of Kwankwaso whom he accused of chasing shadows.
“We have been inundated with calls by our numerous supporters and associates who have been asking whether the news is true. While we thank them for the show of love, we are however using this media to debunk the rumour as nothing of such occurred to our leader,” the statement reads.
Suleiman added that “We are aware of the moves by the discredited, distressed politicians in and out of Kano State to tarnish the image of our leader with the brush of corruption since they themselves are known to be corrupt even on video. It’s on record that Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje was caught on tape stuffing dollars into his babanriga.
“Again, this sinister move is to distract the Leader of the Kwankwassiyya Movement from his self imposed mission of joining hands with like-minds in rescuing the country from misrule which the APC Government has foisted on us.
“He has started from Kano, where the current Abba Kabir Yusuf is working assiduously to deliver the Kwankwassiyya mandate of good governance to the people of Kano State.
“His attention is resolutely focus on the welfare of downtown, where he hopes to join hands with men and women of goodwill to wrest control of the country from this rudderless government presently presiding over the affairs of the nation.
“No amount of concocted lie, media campaign machination, subterfuge or scheming will derail his march to the promised land. We are using this platform to call on spin doctors of evil to sign up to the agenda of rescuing Nigeria through the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso route,” he concluded.
