Deputy Governor Hosts Nana Shettima at Historic Exercise Haske Biyu

The Armed Forces Command and Staff College Senior Course 47 begin it’s three weeks Exercise Haske Biyu.

The three-week joint inter-agency exercise is aimed at enhancing coordination, interoperability, and mission effectiveness within Nigeria’s security architecture.

Speaking on the theme Family and National Security, Dr. Balarabe, who represented Governor Uba Sani, described the family as the foundation of social order. She cautioned that when this foundation weakens, society becomes vulnerable, exposing children and youth to crime and violent recruitment.

The Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, who also received Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, wife of the Vice President, at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna, to represent the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu at the opening of the exercise.

The Deputy Governor commended the Armed Forces for their sacrifice and resilience, noting that “they are the shield that protects society, often at great personal cost, and deserve the gratitude of every Nigerian.” She reaffirmed Kaduna State Government’s commitment to supporting security agencies with logistics and resources, stressing that “without security, there can be no sustainable development, and without collaboration, there can be no security.”

The event was attended by the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammad Saad Abubakar III, Wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajiya Fatima Tajudeen Abbas, representatives of the Minister of Defence, National Security Adviser, and Inspector General of Police, as well as traditional and religious leaders.
