Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi will miss Wednesday’s semi-final clash against Morocco due to suspension.
The defensive midfielder’s fate was confirmed after he picked up a 67th-minute yellow card in Nigeria’s 2-0 quarterfinal victory over Algeria on Saturday.
It was the Eagles captain’s second yellow card of the knockout stages, which automatically earned him a one-match suspension.
The Besiktas midfielder previously got booked during Nigeria’s round-of-16 victory over Mozambique.
Ndidi’s availability for the clash against hosts Morocco was already in doubt after he was substituted in the 69th minute against Algeria due to a hamstring injury, and picking up a second yellow ensured he will not be in the line-up.
