Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun, has used the track titles from Davido’s newly released album ‘Oriade’ in his re-election message.
Davido, who is Adeleke’s nephew, released the 13-track project, his sixth studio album, on Friday.
In a post via X, the governor said he was listening to ‘Oriade’ while travelling for his re-election campaign.
Adeleke also shared his campaign reflections, strategically incorporating all 13 song titles, written in capital letters, into a single post.
He expressed optimism about securing a second term, declaring that there would be “no vacancy” at the Osun state government house after the election.
“ON THE ROAD again for the Imole ReElection Campaign, and I’m listening to ORIADE the new album by my nephew @davido which is CONSTANTLY reminding me of the AMAZING GRACE that has been MY LIGHT and GUIDE this last 3 and half years that I have been Governor of Osun State,” the post reads.
“They say my call for peace is weak, but I KNOW WHO I BE. TELL EVERYBODY: Imole is winning his Re-Election on August 15. If you ask JULIE or anyone In Osun State, they will tell you no vacancy in Abeere, those perpetuating violence against our people are ALREADY FALLING.
“B4 B4 it was ZANZIBAR for tourism. Now YAYA and everyone is saying GIMMIE DAT TING in Osun. Oh…. YAYA!”
Adeleke has since been chosen as the Accord Party’s candidate for the 2026 governorship election scheduled for August 15.
He emerged as the party’s flagbearer after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
