Eucharia Anunobi, the ace actress, has appealed to Nigerians for financial support for her colleague Ngozi Nwosu, who requires three life-saving surgeries estimated to cost N30 million.
Speaking during a church service, Anunobi, 61, dropped to her knees before the congregation to appeal for financial support for Nwosu.
She urged members of the congregation and the public to contribute toward the treatment.
She also emphasised the urgency of the situation and Nwosu’s contribution to Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
“You know Ngozi Nwosu, she is down and she has to do surgery, three surgeries. She is in need of N30 million. I’m sure most of you have seen it on the internet,” she said.
“I’m using God to beg you. She has added joy to this nation. These are legends of acting, but she is getting older and sickness wants to take her life before her time.”

Nwosu, 62, had earlier this month appealed for assistance after revealing that she had been hospitalised and required multiple surgical procedures to survive.
Her plea drew a significant response from Alex Otti, Abia governor, who fulfilled a pledge to support the actress by paying N25 million directly to the hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
Despite the governor’s intervention, Nwosu still requires additional funds to fully cover the remaining N5 million balance for the procedures.
In her initial appeal, Nwosu had urged fans, colleagues, and well-wishers not to abandon her during her time of need.
“Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die. I have like three surgeries to go through. Please, don’t let me die,” she had said.
Nwosu also directed anyone willing to support her to contact her management team, reiterating that the total cost of the surgeries stands at N30 million.
