Christmas celebrations came early for thousands of families in Kogi State and Abuja as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited, Engr. Dr Stephen Achema Akpa, distributed over 6,000 bags of rice to vulnerable households.
The yuletide outreach, which took place across Kogi East and the Federal Capital Territory, was aimed at easing hardship and ensuring inclusivity during the festive season.
A breakdown of the distribution showed that 1,000 bags were allocated to staff, another 1,000 to non-staff beneficiaries, while 4,000 bags were shared among households in Kogi East.
Many beneficiaries described the gesture as timely, noting that the support provided relief amid prevailing economic challenges.
Beyond food support, Dr Akpa extended financial assistance through the Enemona Foundation, disbursing ₦250,000 each to 25 beneficiaries in October and November 2025, and ₦6m to another 25 beneficiaries in December.
He also reached a wider audience through a ₦5m Facebook giveaway, where 1,000 online beneficiaries received ₦5,000 each.
Apart from humanitarian efforts, Dr Akpa has remained active in cultural promotion, sponsoring Igala cultural events to preserve heritage and promote unity among the people.
His business interests span major parts of Abuja, including Jahi, Kukwaba, Life Camp, Lugbe and Gwarinpa, where his real estate developments are known for modern infrastructure and sustainability.
Community leaders hailed the Christmas outreach, describing it as a reflection of selfless leadership and a model for private-sector-driven social intervention.
They noted that by combining grassroots support with digital empowerment, Dr Akpa has continued to make a lasting impact across Kogi State and Abuja.
