The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, has been commended for his compassionate visit to the family of the late Brig. Gen. B. M. Uba, who died in the line of duty while defending the nation during an operation in Wajiroko, Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to a statement shared by Edward John Auta Pama, a historian, public affairs analyst and advocate for good governance, the Minister paid a heartfelt visit to the bereaved family earlier today, offering his deepest condolences and reaffirming the unwavering support of the Federal Government and Nigerians at large.

Pama noted that Gen. Musa’s presence brought comfort and reassurance to the grieving household, serving as a powerful message of national appreciation for the ultimate sacrifice made by the fallen officer. He described the gesture as a rare and commendable demonstration of compassion and leadership.

He further observed that the Minister’s conduct reflects the qualities that distinguished his tenure as Chief of Defence Staff, an attribute that contributed greatly to his reputation for effective and humane leadership.

Across the country, Pama said, Nigerians are optimistic that Gen. Musa’s appointment will inject renewed energy, strategic clarity and greater achievements into the nation’s defence sector. He added that actions such as honouring fallen heroes not only preserve their memory but also boost the morale of the brave men and women of the armed forces who continue to safeguard the nation.
