The lawmaker representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Dan Amos, has praised Engr. Joseph Ciroma for withdrawing from the Kaduna South Senatorial race to support the re-election bid of incumbent Senator Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung ahead of the party primaries.
Amos made the remarks on Sunday during the inauguration of his campaign team at his constituency office in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area.
He described Ciroma’s decision as an act of political maturity, sacrifice, and commitment to party unity, stressing that such gestures are vital for strengthening internal cohesion and boosting electoral prospects.
“Engr. Ciroma has shown himself to be a man of empathy and foresight. His decision to step down in support of Senator Katung is not only commendable but also a reflection of his dedication to the collective interest of the people and the party,” Amos said.
The lawmaker expressed confidence in Senator Katung’s re-election, citing the incumbent’s performance and strong grassroots support across the senatorial district.
Amos also revealed that his political structure currently engages nearly 300 legislative aides across his constituency, all of whom receive regular salaries.
“Close to 300 legislative aides under my office are receiving salaries. With this level of structure and grassroots engagement, it will be difficult for any opposition to defeat us,” he said.
He added that the campaign team inauguration marked the start of intensified political mobilisation ahead of the elections, urging supporters to remain united and committed to securing victory for the party at all levels.
Amos reaffirmed his dedication to effective representation and pledged to continue delivering democratic dividends to his constituents.
