Zamfara Youth Concerned Citizens, have expressed deep appreciation for the achievements of Dr. Bello Matawalle as Minister of State for Defence, citing his efforts in improving security and fostering development in the state and across Nigeria.

In a statement signed by the group’s spokesperson, Comrade saminu isah kanoma, the youths praised Matawalle’s leadership since his appointment, describing his tenure as transformative.

The statement highlighted his prioritization of security, noting a significant reduction in criminal activities in Zamfara.

Zamfara has produced three Ministers of Defence since 1999, but the group argued that Matawalle’s term has brought unparalleled focus to the ministry.

“Dr. Matawalle’s commitment to addressing insecurity has earned him the admiration and support of the people,” the statement read.

During a recent visit to Zamfara, Matawalle issued directives to reopen blocked roads, demonstrating his resolve to ensure free movement and enhance security.

His collaboration with the military to execute these orders underscores his proactive approach to governance.

The group also described Matawalle as the most youth-friendly Minister of Defence since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999. His emphasis on youth empowerment and development, they said, has inspired hope among the younger generation.

Among his notable achievements, the youths pointed to his directives leading to the successful operation against notorious criminal Halilu Sububu. They noted that the operation has significantly improved security in the region.
