As the global golf community prepares for Women’s Golf Day (WGD) Week 2026, the lady captain of Kaduna Golf Club, Docas Daniel, has called on everyone to embrace the spirit of “Women Golf Daily” – recognising that somewhere around the world, a woman is golfing every day.

WGD Week, which takes place on 2 June 2026, brings together golf courses, governing bodies, federations, brands, instructors and communities across six continents to host live events designed to engage both new and existing female golfers.

This year’s theme, “Women Golf Daily”, reflects the growing impact of women on the game worldwide – not just during WGD Week, but every single day.

“Women Golf Daily is more than a theme – it’s a reality,” said Elisa Gaudet, founder of Women’s Golf Day. “Women are shaping the future of golf daily as players, consumers, coaches, business leaders, mothers, daughters and community builders. Their influence extends far beyond the course.”

Mrs Daniel added: “We proudly celebrate Women’s Golf Day, a day dedicated to recognising and appreciating women and girls who play, support and promote the game of golf.

“Golf is more than a sport; it teaches discipline, integrity, patience and friendship. Through golf, women have built lasting relationships, developed confidence and inspired others to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle.

“As we celebrate today, let us continue to encourage more women and young girls to take up the game and create an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported.

“To all the amazing ladies on and off the course, thank you for your passion, commitment and contributions to the growth of golf. Together, we will continue to strengthen and elevate women’s golf for future generations.”

Since its inception, Women’s Golf Day has created a worldwide platform focused on connection, inclusion and growth through golf. In 2026, the campaign expands that message by recognising the financial, social and cultural impact women have across the golf industry – from participation, travel, hospitality and retail to bringing families, children and friends into the game together.

Throughout WGD Week, registered events around the world will feature golf instruction, play, networking, wellness, education and social experiences designed to create welcoming environments for women and girls of all ages and abilities.
