Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, currently facing allegations of land misappropriation, has scorned opposition leaders, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, labelling them as politically expired. During a recent road commissioning event in Ushafa-Bwari, Wike condemned the politicians who flit between parties, asserting that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is achieving meaningful progress.
“Let them be aware. Those without foresight, who have switched allegiance among over ten parties since 1999, should take note of our accomplishments,” Wike stated.
He added, “No matter their vantage point, they will witness the President’s work. Yet, there are voices claiming nothing is being done. Should we visit them personally for them to acknowledge progress? Unfortunately, that will not occur.”
This declaration comes amid protests from schoolchildren and workers in the Federal Capital Territory, who have converged on the FCTA office, demanding the reopening of schools and the payment of owed salaries and allowances.
