The Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Dan Amos, has declared that his political structure ahead of the 2027 elections is formidable and capable of delivering victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels.
Mr Amos made the assertion shortly after inaugurating his campaign team at his constituency office in Kafanchan, headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area, describing the structure as “unbeatable” and deeply rooted at the grassroots.
According to him, the team has been strategically assembled to secure victories from the presidential election down to the governorship, senatorial contest, and his own re-election bid.
“We have assembled a team with the capacity, grassroots connection, and determination to deliver. This is beyond a campaign structure for the primaries; it is a movement already focused on winning the general elections in 2027,” he said.
The lawmaker noted that the large turnout and enthusiasm at the inauguration underscored the APC’s growing support base in the constituency.
On the forthcoming party primaries, Mr Amos described internal contest as a normal democratic process but expressed confidence in emerging victorious, citing his performance in office and strong support base.
“Democracy thrives on competition. However, with what we have achieved in nearly three years and the support we enjoy, we are confident going into the primaries,” he stated.
He revealed that while two aspirants had initially shown interest in contesting his seat, one had stepped down, adding that consultations were ongoing within the party.
Mr Amos also downplayed the strength of opposition parties, insisting that the APC remains united and dominant in Jema’a/Sanga.
“As it stands today, the APC in this constituency is one united family. Our focus is not on the opposition but on mobilising our people to come out and vote in large numbers,” he said.
The lawmaker further assured constituents of more dividends of democracy, noting that the current administration had performed well but would deliver more in the years ahead.
“We believe the government has done well, and there is still more to come. Our responsibility is to mobilise our people to sustain this progress through their votes,” he added.
