A grand ceremony in Edo State celebrated the legacy of the late former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde. An ultra-modern auditorium and sports center at Ogbona Secondary School, Etsako Central Local Government Area, has been named Ibrahim Lamorde Hall.
Peter Omoh Dunia, a director at Inter-Atlas Synergy Limited and native of Ogbona, facilitated the construction of this edifice. Lamorde, who led the award-winning pipeline security firm Inter-Atlas Synergy until his passing on May 25th, 2024, was honored by the community and dignitaries alike.
The event was attended by high-profile guests, including representatives of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, Deputy Governor Omobayo Godwins, and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Abubakar Momoh. The Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, and South/South Zonal Chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, also graced the occasion.
Honored guests included the Lamorde family, led by Adamawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Usman Lamorde, and Dr. Suleiman Lamorde. The Inter-Atlas Synergy team was headed by CEO Femi Meshe and Executive Director Niyi Oginni.
