A witness, who gave her name as Precious, told reporters that the crash happened shortly before 6:00 a.m., when the vehicle reportedly rammed into the victim as he stood by the roadside. Traffic officials and operatives from the Nkpolu Police Division rushed the injured man to a nearby clinic, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver was apprehended at the scene, and the bus was subsequently impounded and taken to the police station for further examination, the witness added.
