Former militant leader Asari Dokubo has dared the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the federal government, warning them against any plot to impeach the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

Speaking against the backdrop of the Rivers crisis and the escalating tension between Wike and Fubara, Dokubo stated that the Ijaws would not watch the governor ousted from office.

In a video shared on social media, Dokubo urged the federal government to instruct Wike and Fubara to maintain the status quo.

“Let me tell you, if you allow Wike to push this as he is doing, it will be very difficult for him to come to Rivers State…

“It will be difficult for anybody if they think that they’re going to impeach Sim and Ijaw people will allow it! It will be difficult to impeach Sim.

“Mark this word I’m telling you! God knows. Nobody! It will be difficult to impeach Sim and bring a governor. It’s not going to be possible.

“Go and ask in Odo State. Go and ask in Delta State. The fury of the Ijaw people! They don’t give a damn!

“I’m telling you the truth. The earlier you hear this, you accept it. Call Wike, call Sim. Let them maintain the status quo. That is the only way…,” Dokubo said.
