Former governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has reassured that Nigerians are ready to end misgovernance of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) come 2027.

BREAKING: Osun Governor Adeleke Dumps PDP, Joins Accord Party

“We are determined. We are committed to democratic efforts, and we will join forces with all Nigeria to make sure that, by the grace of God in 2027 we end this misrule and misgovernance in our country”.

Tambuwal, who spoke shortly at his residence after mammoth crowd of  supporters received him back to the State, confirmed that his one day ordeal in the hands of the Economy and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was simply a miscalculated blackmail and intimidation to lure him to the failed APC.

“What they failed to realize however is that, I cannot be intimidated, I cannot be blackmailed, and no one can tarnish my records that God has given me from my service in the House of Representatives in 2003 where I served as minority leader, 2007 where I served as Deputy Chief Whip until 2011 where I served as the 7th Speaker of house before moving to become the governor of my State, Sokoto  2015.

“I served two tenures till 2023 as governor. And after that, I have been a Senator  since then which is an indication that I have served my people and our country well”.

Continuing, Tambuwal said, with His on their side the coalition is headed for victory come 2027.

“Let me assure you that I am100 percent  resolute and unshaken by this mere attempt to coerce, blackmail and intimidate me. We remain committed to the process of democracy, and ensuring that people’s votes count in Nigeria, particularly inshallah in 2027”.

While sressing that what the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is currently doing is simply to create an impression of invisibility, that they cannot be beaten, but they are not with the people.

“Their policies are anti people. They have no compassion. They have no human feelings. What is the situation of security in the Nigeria of today?

“Just look at the Sokoto for insurance, the Eastern Senatorial District is highly insecured. What is the situation of the entire North West, North East, North Central, South South, South West and South East as far as security is concerned?

‘What is the situation of Federal Charater appointment today? Are opportunities given to Nigeria fairly? What about projects, are they distributed evenly? All the answers are no.

“And now, we want them to know that Nigerians now understand the game and will not allow any election to be rigged again”.

Talking on his invitation over the frivolous allegation of 189bn, Tambuwal said he is not surprised by the development.

“This is not the first time I am seeing such. I was investigated by the current Sokoto State government and they found nothing to nail me with.

Same thing with this invitation by the EFCC which is politically motivated with the purpose of intimidation to join the APC where if you join your sins are forgiven.

“But I will not join the party rather than work for the generality of Nigerians,” Senator Tambuwal assured.
