Umar Fintiri, the chairman of the 2025 National Convention Organising Committee and Governor of Adamawa, made this declaration while speaking to journalists following a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja.

The stakeholders present at the meeting included members of the PDP Governors’ Forum, the National Working Committee, and the Board of Trustees, among others.

“We have just concluded our critical stakeholders’ meeting, where several important decisions were made. I want to emphasise that we are going to Ibadan for our convention, and the convention is non-negotiable,” Mr Fintiri stated.

The meeting was held at the Bauchi Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.

Notable attendees included Governors Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde, PDP national chairman Umar Damagum, national publicity secretary Debo Ologunagba, and former Senate president Bukola Saraki.

Also present was former Minister Tanimu Turaki, who is the consensus candidate for the position of national chairman at the convention.

Additionally, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, and Emmanuel Ogidi, chairman of the PDP South-South Caretaker Committee, were among those in attendance.
