Under the cloak of darkness, troops initiated a swift and decisive operation on 2nd February 2024, targeting the nefarious activities of bandits and kidnappers in Yorro LGA and its peripheries.

Encountering fierce resistance at Gampu hills and Ban Yorro area, troops unleashed overwhelming firepower, compelling the bandits to scatter in disarray, abandoning their captives.

In the aftermath of the intense confrontation, the rescue operation bore fruit as four kidnapped victims were freed from the clutches of terror.

Among the liberated were Genesis M Samuel (24), Benard Denis (28), Esther Titus (35), and Isma’il Umar (25), the son of the Emir of Pupulle, abducted from his residence on 18 January 2024.

The brigade reaffirms its unwavering commitment to safeguarding citizens and dismantling criminal networks across Taraba State.

Citizens are implored to sustain their invaluable support by furnishing credible intelligence to bolster security efforts.
