As the tragic events transpired, the identity of those responsible for the shooting spree remained shrouded in mystery. Speculations abound, with some sources suggesting the involvement of cult gangs.

The investigation into this appalling incident is ongoing, and the truth behind these violent acts is yet to be unveiled.

According to eyewitness accounts from X users, not only did one student lose their life, but two other students were also shot and injured during this terrifying incident.

As of now, the exact condition of the injured students remains unknown, adding to the sense of urgency in uncovering the facts.

This calamity didn’t happen in isolation. Reports indicate that the clash had been simmering for days, originating in Ekiadolor, a satellite student community, before escalating to the shocking events witnessed within the UNIBEN campus.

The factors that led to this clash and its eventual violent culmination are subjects of intense scrutiny.

A video circulating online paints a grim picture of the aftermath. A red car, riddled with bullet holes, stands as a testament to the violence that occurred.

The lifeless body of a man, tragically cut short, was taken away in the back of a pick-up van while shocked students watched in disbelief.

The scene is marred by bullet casings on the floor, along with drops of blood, bearing witness to the chaos that unfolded.

A man’s face cap, abandoned on the ground, is a haunting reminder of the terror that gripped the campus.

In the wake of this traumatic event, some of the students who sustained injuries during the clash took to their X handles (formerly known as Twitter) to share photographic evidence of their injuries.

Their voices echo the pain and suffering experienced during the shooting, shedding light on the personal toll this tragedy has exacted.

As this horrifying incident unfolds, the Edo Police Command is called upon to provide answers.

When contacted, the Edo Police Command Spokesman, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, stated that he had yet to be informed of the incident.

He expressed his commitment to providing accurate information once briefed, reaffirming that the search for truth and justice will continue.
