The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election in South South.

Akpabio stated this when he hosted the leaders of the South South All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Chief Victor Giadom in his office.

According to Akpabio, there is no way the South South region will have a Senate President and not do well in the coming elections.

“There is no way we can’t give a resounding victory to Tinubu in 2027,” Akpabio said while highlighting areas their party in the South South need to Improve upon.

“For us to have won the presidential election in Rivers state where the chairman, Victor Giadom comes from, shows clearly that things are bound to happen,” Akpabio said, adding that, “in Edo state, we will ensure we take back what belongs to us.”

Akpabio, who said the visit by the South South leaders was timely, added that he will work with the party to ensure that APC wins more states in the South South regions in subsequent elections.

“There is no way we will have a Senate President and the South South will not be APC.
