Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has asserted that President Bola Tinubu is restoring stability and hope to Nigeria.

Speaking on Monday in Abuja at a national summit organized by the Integrity Group of Nigeria, themed ‘Renew Hope Agenda through Continuity,’ Mr. Okowa emphasized the importance of the president continuing in office to allow citizens to reap the benefits of his policies. He characterized Mr. Tinubu as an “action president” who has embraced responsibility, setting him apart from previous leaders.

“While Tinubu’s decisions may be challenging, they are producing positive outcomes. He is fostering stability and rekindling hope by actively addressing issues without dwelling on past governance,” Mr. Okowa remarked.

He voiced his full support for Mr. Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027, highlighting the president’s dedication to taking charge of the nation. “We come not as liabilities, but as assets, aiming to enhance what has already been established. We bring experience, knowledge, love, and resources to elevate the nation,” he added.

Mr. Okowa encouraged support groups to initiate groundwork for Tinubu’s re-election, asserting that he is deserving of it.

Earlier, Oke Idawene, the convenor and national chairman of the Integrity Group, noted that Mr. Tinubu assumed office well-prepared and is actively working towards the nation’s prosperity. “Our message today is clear: we will not allow those who undermine Nigeria’s progress to lead us again,” he stated.

Idawene highlighted improvements, such as student access to loans and advancements in security, noting that progressive governors are laying the foundation for Tinubu’s 2027 victory based on his commendable performance.

Binta Garba remarked that when Mr. Tinubu took office, the nation was struggling, but he has managed to effect positive change. She expressed optimism that the renewed hope initiative would continue, asserting that “continuity will enhance Nigeria’s future.”

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, urged Nigerians to pray for and support Tinubu in his efforts to uplift the country. She pointed to promising signs, including the All Progressives Congress’ recent electoral successes and Nigerian girls achieving accolades in sports.

Nora Daduut, pro-chancellor and chairman of the governing council of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, praised the national summit and encouraged group members, particularly women, to keep the message of the renewed hope initiative alive.
