The ward executive of Kassa A ward, Yorro local government of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed the purported suspension of former commissioner and an aspirant for Taraba house of reps by-election David Ishaya Kassa by Yorro PDP chairman.
The ward executive lead by Geoffrey Mading in a statement he issued in Jalingo, on Sunday, he explained that the attention of the PDP ward executive of Yorro local government has been drawn to a press release by Anthony David the PDP Chairman Yorro Local Government Area claiming to have purportedly suspended or expelled PDP member Dr. David Ishaya Kassa.
The statement which reads “We the Kassa ‘A’ Ward Executives of PDP, Yorro Local Government Area lead by the Ward Chairman Mr. Geoffrey Mading affirms the membership status of Dr. David Ishaya Kassa as bona fide member of the party without any blemish”.
“As a matter of fact, Dr. Ishaya is a pride of PDP in Yorro Local Government and primus inter parem among all other PDP members of the Local Government. He has worked tirelessly for the party and contributed immensely for the growth and development of the party. The Ward Executives will not standby to watch any group of charlatans speak ill of him without basis or authority”.
Mading further state that Dr. David Ishaya Kassa has paid all his party dues at Ward level and is not owing a Kobo. Rather, it is PDP that owes everything to him.
He further stressed that the results of the last Governorship Election is clear where PDP won with overwhelming majority in Kassa ‘A’ Ward and even came first with 2,178 votes making it the best result in the 11 Wards of the Yorro Local Government Area.
