Taraba State will make history from August 22nd to 24th, 2024, as it hosts the annual summit of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governors—a first for the state.
This landmark event not only underscores the political significance of Taraba but also marks a defining moment for the young and dynamic host, Governor Agbu Kefas.

Governor Kefas, who has seamlessly transitioned from a two-decade military career to a prominent political figure, is set to showcase his exceptional leadership and statesmanship. This summit will solidify his reputation as a rising star in national politics and reinforce the PDP’s dominance in the state.

Under Kefas’s stewardship, Taraba has evolved into a formidable PDP stronghold. His tenure as party chairman before becoming governor demonstrated his strategic acumen, leading the PDP to a decisive victory amid a challenging electoral landscape. His efforts have transformed Taraba into arguably the most PDP-centric state in Nigeria.

Governor Kefas’s approach has not only unified the party but also rebranded it for national prominence. His meticulous planning and adept management have strengthened the PDP’s hold in Taraba, rendering it a political powerhouse. His influential role extends beyond the state; he has been pivotal in national PDP victories, including his leadership of the campaign team that secured a win in Bayelsa State.

Renowned for his diplomatic skills, Governor Kefas has become a key player in national politics, valued for his peacemaking and deal-making abilities. His colleagues regard him as a trusted ally in the competitive arena of politics, appreciated for his affability and meticulous attention to detail.
