Former governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has applauded the US-Nigeria Army backed strike in Sokoto State, urging all to see the intervention as attack on insurgents, bandits and terrorists who are enemies of humanity.

“We must not give this incident any coloration. It is not a religious war. Not an ethnic war. Rather, it’s a war against enemies of humanity. These terrorists are not your friends neither are they your brothers but enemies of humanity”

Tambuwal, who spoke Sunday when he visited Jabo, one of the villages that the US backed bomb detonated to commiserate with them appealed to all and sundry to see the strike as a genuine intervention geared towards ending the scourge of insurgency, banditry and reign of terrorists.

Addressing the people of Jabo at the palace of the Sarkin Burmin Jabo, Alhaji Aliyu Garba Jabo 11, Senator Tambuwal appealed to his constituents not to give the strike any religious or ethnic coloration rather a welcome assistance to help Nigeria fight scourge of insecurity.

Accompanied by the House of Assembly member representing Tambuwal East State Constituency, Hon. Bashir Isa Jabo, 2023 PDP governorship candidate, Malam Saidu Ubandoma, Hon. Aminu Bala Bodinga and many other top political figures in the State, Tambuwal said despite the Jabo bomb was a mistake, they are however happy that the incident happened at an open field with no any casualty.

“We are not happy with the development. However, we thank God that the incident happened outside human settlement. And after the incident, I spoke extensively with security agencies and I was made to understand that the target was not Jabo village rather Tangaza local government where we are all aware of the presence of Lakurawa terrorists group”.

Talking directly to the traditional leader, Tambuwal said, “when such an incident happened, usually people get worried buy I am happy you were on ground, went there and calm your people.

“I must also thank the entire people of Jabo for their cooperation and maintenance of peace. And I also want to say this very clearly once again that, terrorism and terrorists are nobody’s friend.

Tambuwal further appealed to all and sundry to always help provide credible intellegnce to the security agencies which will enable them end insecurity and make Nigeria safe for all.

Responding to the visit, the Sarkin Burmin Jabo 11, Alhaji Aliyu Garba Jabo 11 registered his appreciation onbehalf of the entire people, saying they are at peace with the development which came without any casualty to his people.

He thanked the government and all others that called to symphatized with the people of Jabo village.
