Shun Nigeria Military Against Fingering IPOB In Aba Military Killings

Published

on

Following the press release by Nigeria military media on 31st of May, 2024 claiming that the gunmen that killed the Nigerian Soldiers who are among the troop of Operation “UDO KA” deployed at Obikabia Junction Checkpoint in Obingwa Local Government Areas adjoining Aba metropolis in Abia State is IPOB/ESN.

It’s quite unfortunate that the Nigeria Military have again fingered Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) on the insecurity that has eaten deep into the fabrics of Southeast, just like the Nigeria police force through the then Inspector-General of Police IGP Mohammed Adamu less than 24hrs fingered IPOB/ESN after Owerri Prison break in 2021

It’s a laughable, unintelligent, national mockery and embarrassment that Nigeria Military Force could casually within 24hrs through her press release signed by Major General Edward Buba Director Defence Media Operations claiming that the attack was done by IPOB/ESN.

We have the feelings that the attack on our soldiers was an inside operation, especially having two of the Soldiers that hail from Alaigbo must be a ploy to give a dog a bad name in order to hang the dog otherwise, how often would the Military post two Ngwa soldiers on the same team, I therefore urge Dr. Alex Chioma Otti a new brand Governor of Igbo extraction to take the investigation of the Killings of our gallant Soldiers personal and official.

It is shocking and with dismay how fifteen hooded gunmen penetrated the centre of a heavy populated urban area like Aba, in a broad daylight, carried out the killings, and the incineration, yet went scott-free. Dr Alex Otti must act now, put his eyes in the water, otherwise insecurity will temper his visions in developing Aba as a economic hub of West Africa.

We’re very disappointed in Nigeria Military force of quick accusation to Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB). But notwithstanding we’re tired of counter allegations against IPOB at any slight of Gunmen attack in Southeast. We therefore give Nigeria military intelligence 14 days Ultimatum to Arrest and parade the killers of our gallant Soldiers.

To actually trace what happened to our gallant Soldiers who are of Igbo extraction, the Nigeria Police Force and DSS must start a thorough, sincere and unbiased investigation on the actual people that did Owerri Prison break in 2021, it must be a Link to know all insecurity that has befall on Southeast.

We have never hide our feeling that the unfortunate insecurity trend in Southeast is connected with Owerri Prison break. Hence Owerri Prison has camera we therefore demand for the footage of Owerri Prison break, to unmask the real faces behind this heinous crime against Ndigbo and federal government of Nigeria.

We have never hide our feelings on the way Unknown Gunmen where parading in Southeast within the period of rain of bullets, the way they confidently, majestically and boldly cat-walk made we the Igbos to believe that they must have presidential backing of the then president Mohammed Buhari

If President Bola Ahmed Tinubu want peace and tranquility in his administration we urge him to issue an executive order for immediate arrest and detention of former president Mohammed Buhari and former Attorney general of the Federation Abubakar Malami for questioning on the genesis of Unknown Gunmen in Southeast.

Since after the Genocide against Ndigbo from 1966 to 1970 Southeast have experienced peace and harmony. It’s obvious that since 51 years (1970-2021) Southeast States were enjoying her peace until the armed gang stroke Owerri Prison setting over 1800 inmates free.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should assembly his finest intelligent security team to investigate Owerri Prison break, the sponsors and the way about of over 1800 inmates of which 70% of them are hardened armed criminals convicted. These criminals and Prison escapees are heavily sponsored, they have built various camps walking freely in Southeast and committing all sorts Crime.

We wouldn’t hide our feelings that Mohammadu Buhari committed genocide against Ndigbo through his conspiracy parallel Personal security a.k.a unknown Gun men that’s terrorizing Southeast just to blackmail and tag Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) a Terrorist organization.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should demonstrate a patriotic gesture by arresting President Mohammadu Buhari and Abubakar Malami and every other person in the North that has hand in sponsoring of Bandits and Boko Haram..

Insecurity contributed almost 60% of rotten economy of Nigeria, therefore to put an end to Unknown Gunmen in Southeast, Bandits and Boko Haram in the North is another strategic means to grow Nigeria economy.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should neglect all forms of blackmails and conspiracies by former president Mohammadu Buhari bloodthirsty Government against Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB and commence a peace building project and harken to the voice of eminent Nigerians on Political Solution of Nnamdi Kanu’s case by urging the attorney general of the Federation to withdraw all the charges against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and grant him unconditional release.

Nigeria needs a fearless President like Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step forward and proof himself on how well he mean for Nigerians to protect their lives and properties.

Rivers Assembly Issues Arrest Warrant For Electoral Chief

Published

on

The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued a warrant for the Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Justice Adolphus Enebeli (rtd), to appear before it.

The Martins Amaewhule-led Assembly issued the arrest warrant on Monday during plenary, after the expiration of its 72-hour ultimatum for the electoral chief to appear before the House.

Enebeli had fixed August 9, 2025, to conduct a fresh Local Government (LG) poll in the state following a Supreme Court verdict that annulled the October 5, 2024 local government poll conducted in the state.

The Amaewhule-led Assembly had vowed to probe the conduct of Enebeli regarding the conduct of the annulled LG poll last year.

Over the weekend, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, invited members of the Assembly to a dialogue on the implementation the Supreme Court’s verdict.

The Supreme Court had also barred the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Accountant General of the Federation and other agencies from releasing funds to the government of Rivers State until it purges itself of what the court described as flagrant disobedience to court orders.

In the judgment delivered by Justice Emmanuel Akomaye, the five-man panel of the court had unanimously dismissed the cross-appeal filed by Fubara challenging the validity of the House of Assembly presided over by Amaewhule as the Speaker.

In dismissing Fubara’s appeal, the court ordered Amaewhule to resume sitting immediately with other elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Ramadan: Group Lauds President Tinubu, NUPRC Over Downward Prices of Fuel

Wants More Local Refineries Like Dangote, Others in Nigeria

The Conscience of the Nation, a socio-economic pressure group, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) for their efforts and policies resulting in reduction in fuel prices.

According to Comrade Gideon Unazi, the group’s head, this development has brought relief to Nigerians, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Unazi said with the price reduction, Nigerians can now afford to transport food, goods, and services at a lower cost.

This slash, he said, has also led to a decrease in the cost of food and other essential commodities, making it easier for Nigerians to observe the holy month of Ramadan without financial burden.

Unazi further said NUPRC’s strategic and transparent approach and reforms at the upstream level have ultimately led to the reduction in fuel prices.

He added that the Commission had shown a commitment to the willing-seller, willing-buyer option, which aligns with international best practices and supports the upstream sector’s optimal functioning without resorting to price-fixing.

Unazi further said the Commission has demonstrated its commitment to regulating the industry, fostering growth, and avoiding arbitrary actions that could hinder investments.

He added: “In January, the NUPRC outlined a five-point agenda aimed at increasing oil production in 2025.

“Key initiatives include boosting production by one million barrels, enhancing transparency and accuracy in hydrocarbon measurement, digitalizing upstream regulatory activities, optimizing unit costs per barrel, and conducting licensing bid rounds to revitalize non-performing assets.

‘The Commission has also developed a template to identify the needs of participants within the value chain, fostering collaboration and operational optimization.

“Furthermore, significant regulatory actions have been put in place to enforce compliance with the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation (DCSO), ensuring a consistent supply of crude oil to domestic refiners.”

The group also urged the government to continue to support the establishment of more local refineries, which will not only reduce our reliance on imported fuel but also create jobs and stimulate economic growth.

Unazi stated: “The importance of having more local refineries like Dangote cannot be overstated. With the Dangote Refinery, Nigeria is poised to emerge as one of the largest crude oil refining hub by 2025.

“The refinery’s capacity to produce Euro-V quality gasoline and diesel, in addition to jet fuel and polypropylene, is expected to eliminate Nigeria’s petroleum import requirement, thereby bolstering the country’s current-account position and foreign-exchange reserves.

“The establishment of more local refineries will not only reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported fuel but also create jobs and stimulate economic growth.”

14-year-old schoolgirl drowns in river amid water scarcity in Niger State

Published

on

A 14-year-old girl, Elizabeth Peter, from Korokpa in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State, has drowned in the Chanchaga River while fetching water.

Miss Peter was an SSS1 student of Saint Andrew Academy, Tunga Minna. Witnesses said she was at the river with her siblings when she was swept away while fetching water.

Her aunt, Abigail Idoko, said the teenager was at the river for the first time on Saturday. She had gone there with her siblings because the family could not find water vendors to buy from.

She said it took about two hours to recover her body from a deep pit in the river.

When our correspondent visited her bereaved family at Korokpa, her mother was in shock. Her father, Mr Peter, a soldier, was said to be in Zamfara State on official duty.

Korokpa, like many communities in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State, has long struggled with access to clean water. Residents rely on water vendors, boreholes, or natural sources like the Chanchaga River to meet their daily needs.

However, with limited availability and rising water costs from vendors, many families resort to fetching water directly from the river despite the danger.

The Chanchaga River, a major water source for nearby communities, is notorious for drowning incidents. Deep pits within the river make it hazardous, especially for children and inexperienced swimmers.

Residents say fatalities occur almost every year, yet there has been little intervention to provide safer alternative water sources.

Miss Peter’s tragic death highlights the ongoing water crisis and the risks that residents, especially children, face in their daily struggle for access to clean water.
